About the Role

As a Gardener at Pacific Sands, you’ll help bring our outdoor spaces to life. From vibrant plant beds to well-kept pathways, your work shapes the natural beauty that guests experience the moment they arrive. You’ll play an important role in maintaining safe, welcoming, and visually stunning grounds that reflect the care and pride of our team.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver friendly, 5-star service when interacting with guests and team members

• Maintain lawns and plant beds through mowing, mulching, weeding, trimming, edging, pruning, aerating, fertilizing, and seasonal care

• Assist with the overall grounds plan, including winterizing and seasonal preparation

• Operate landscaping vehicles and powered equipment safely (mowers, tractors, blowers, trimmers, etc.)

• Apply fertilizers and treatments to grass, shrubs, and trees as required

• Maintain walkways, driveways, parking areas, fountains, planters, and other outdoor features

• Keep garbage/recycling bins, dog stations, and ashtrays clean and serviced

• Assist the maintenance team with seasonal tasks such as holiday light installation and preventative building upkeep

• Maintain clean, organized storage and work areas

• Inspect and repair tools and equipment as needed

• Work closely with Guest Services and Housekeeping to ensure a seamless guest experience

• Respond to guest inquiries professionally and promptly

• Follow all resort safety guidelines and emergency procedures

• Support additional property operations projects as assigned

From warm welcomes at check-in to thoughtful assistance throughout their visit, you’ll play a key role in creating a seamless and memorable experience. What You’ll Do

• Provide 5-star service by greeting guests with warmth and professionalism
• Build relationships with guests to create personalized experiences
• Answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously
• Assist with reservations and bookings
• Accurately process payments and charges
• Report maintenance concerns or room deficiencies promptly
• Stay up to date on local attractions, events, and resort offerings to assist guests
• Maintain a polished and professional front desk and lobby area
• Coordinate shopping runs and restocking of provisions as needed
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences
• Follow safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures
• Take on other guest service projects as required

• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Previous guest or customer service experience required (hospitality experience an asset)
• Physically able to lift moderate weight and stand for extended periods

• Keep public spaces and back-of-house areas tidy and stocked
• Respond quickly to guest requests (extra towels, pillows, or supplies)
• Take part in deeper seasonal or rotational cleaning projects
• Work closely with Guest Services and Maintenance to keep everything running smoothly
• Follow safety guidelines and be prepared for emergencies

What We’re Looking For

• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
• Team spirit and willingness to support co-workers
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail with pride in your work
• Physically fit, with the ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift moderately heavy items, and be on your feet for long periods
• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset but not required—we’ll provide training

You’ll take pride in solving problems, repairing, and maintaining the property so that our guests can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and memorable stay. From small fixes to larger projects, every task you do helps create the welcoming environment we’re known for.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, 5-star service to all guests and staff

• Perform routine maintenance such as painting, drywall repair, and touch-ups

• Assist with plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems as needed

• Carry out manual repairs, including doors, locks, windows, and fixtures

• Operate tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, blowers, or power tools

• Maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in safe, organized condition

• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies when required

• Keep outdoor spaces—walkways, parking areas, garbage/recycling bins, and dog stations—clean and safe

• Support other departments to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance requests

• Conduct inspections and report issues related to safety and building systems

• Follow all resort safety procedures and emergency guidelines

• Take part in other maintenance projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded

• Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools

• Valid driver’s license required

• Proven maintenance or trades experience is an asset (certifications welcome)

• Good communication skills and proficiency in English

• Physically fit and able to lift moderate weight, bend, kneel, and be on your feet for long periods
